AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! What a truly horrible experience! We were refused the car we rented unless we agreed to their totally ludicrous insurance terms: 3 times price of the rental. So we were held hostage in their remote office , just off a late flight with 2 small children, who were hungry and tired. They should be ashamed of themselves, treating kids like that. What to expect: the usual sales patter. They're your best friend, with some typical BS - "Hey. Your surname is my mother's maiden name!" (whatever) and then start to turn the screws pushing things in front of you to sign. Short of filling this review full of colourful swear words, I can't find words strong enough for this pack of mobey-grubbing, evil, heartless con-men. Do not hire from them ever. You will regret it!
A truly awful and disconcerting experience. Price not what was promised! Booked online 29 for 3 days. When taken to the offsite industrial estate was told the booking was invalid because i did not have 2 proofs of address (despite all documentation saying passport credit card and driving licence). Had to pay an extra 49 to rent the car. Very hard sell on excess. 1500 deposit and 95 fuel deposit including a condition to produce a garage receipt within 5 miles of drop off. They tried to claim that 2 minor marks were damage until I took pictures of them and they backed off. The whole experience is of constantly feeling like they are trying to rip you off! I would never use these cowboys again. A truly awful experience.
Avoid like the plague! Ages getting picked up from airport and lots of others waited over an hour to be picked up. At the rental place there are lots of charges and holds on your cards and extra money for insurance etc, charges to some for not having printed paperwork (it's in the tiny t&c's) they don't accept stuff on the apps. It's a money making scam. Used lots of car hire places in lots places and this is by far the worst.
Robbery. Very bad experience with easirent. 1/ we had to wait outside the airport for 1h to get the shuttle and nobody was reachable for 40min after we arrived. We didnt get any form of apology for this. 2/ the guy at the agency made us pay for an insurance (70 extra pounds) stating they would basically try their best to charge us as much money as possible for small stone chips. He was very proud to tell us he charged a man 900 the week before and usually charges 150 for a stone chip. The guy when we returned the car was nice. Id recommend a mainstream company at the airport.
Their office is 3 miles from the airport but their shuttle bus is pretty quick and on both journeys prompt for me.I took the basic CDW insurance but from the moment I was picked up the hard sell began. Throughout the pick up process they pushed the extra insurance very hard. I hire cars a lot and know this is part of the process but I was quite taken aback by these guys.I took the car, checked it in the dark, if you're picking up after dark there's nowhere to inspect the car for previous damage. I spotted a few things but not everything!Drove the car like I was driving Miss Daisy all weekend but when dropping off they found a dent! I got charged for it. I'll be reclaiming from my third party insurer but it's a pain.I'll use these guys again. Off site and the sales tactics were like nothing I've experienced before. I'd recommend you do the same.
