UNRELIABLE Agreed with craigstown roofing to install armourplan on a new flat roof and also new roof on a bay window. Morning after installation of main roof (bay window was to be completed later ) we noticed a patch in middle of the roof which was obvious damage. We contacted William by text to say we had seen damage had been caused and disappointed we hadnt been told. We queried what hapoened, why we were not told and could it cause weakness in the roof to be responded "any patch is stronger sure it's 2 layers thick " i expressed i was gutted and asked would he confirm what the warrenty and forward the guarantee. I got no response. I waited a few hours and still no response and decided to contact Armourplan direct to ask what the warranty is on their product and would it still be valid if damage was caused during installation. They said they would get someone to call me back. I got a call later in the afternoon from who i now believe to be his supplier. The supplier reassured me yes it would still be covered which was all i asked. When i returned home William had been there and repaired the original repair with a much larger patch after his supplier apparently contacted him. I was greeted by a very intimidating manner asking why his supplier was contacting him about a compliant. I explained i was making enquiries with the product manufacturers as he refused to confirm warranty. After a discussion and what i then believed was sorted I paid over 4200 to Craigstown roofing and he said he would come back when roof on the bay was ready to be covered. I contacted them this morning and just received a call from William saying under no circumstances would he be doing anymore work for anyone who goes behind his back to a supplier. I said i did not go behind his back and that he didn't answer our question so we asked those who make the product so we could clarify what we were being charged for would be covered due to damage they caused. As a customer i agreed to use craigstown roofing as they were a local company and someone i habe known along time and beleived the job would be completed. At no time did i expect a new roof to be damaged and i know accidents can happen but not being told about it and when enquiring about validity of warrenty or guarantee nor did i expect abuse. But now when the agreed job isnt completed begs will Craigstown roofing stand over the guarantee. I would not recommend Criagstown roofing now due to this as our job is not complete and i am concerned now if anything arises they will not cover the product or work. Please ensure your job is agreed in writing and dont pay in full like we did until the whole job is complete!
